Bravo Verisimo Opera

I recently attended a performance of the opera Das Rheingold by Richard Wagner at the Bay Terrace Theater (also known as Mira Theater) 51 Daniels St. at Wilson Street, in Vallejo. I thought that the performance by the 15 singers, along with extremely professional orchestra of about a dozen musicians was terrific. All the singers had wonderful, strong, voices and told the story about the golden treasure very effectively. The costumes were lots of fun and colorful and played well against the fairly neutral background of the set.
They did wonders with the small venue and made opera very accessible due to the very modest price of tickets -- $15 for adults and $12 for seniors. So, opera lovers, check it out the next time a performance by Verisimo Opera comes around in Vallejo.
