Verismo Opera
Verismo Opera makes opera accessible to the public at reasonable prices through a community effort of professional musicians and singers. Supertitles in English are offered at each venue. Performances include costumes, sets, and a chamber orchestra in an intimate setting that brings the drama closer to the audience. This setting makes the opera experience more personal. In addition, Verismo Opera provides opportunities for aspiring singers to showcase their talent in a live theater setting.
We perform popular operas such as: Carmen, La Boheme, Madame Butterfly, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Tosca, etc. as a contribution to the performing arts. Some of our favorite opera composers include: Mozart, Puccini, Bizet, Donizetti, Wagner and Verdi.
