Verismo Opera Announces our 2025-2026 Season! 

Call for Artists

PLEASE NOTE:

WE HAVE COMPLETED AUDITIONS FOR PRINCIPAL SOPRANO ROLES FOR THE COMING SEASON. Please feel free to submit your interest to our audition form, but we cannot guarantee an audition at this time.

1.

Bellini’s I Capuleti ei Montecchi

Michael Moran Music Director and Eliza O’Malley Stage Director.

Performances: Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees Nov 29th through December 14th, 2025

Rehearsals:  Afternoons Saturdays and Sundays beginning October 4, 2025 in Vallejo.

Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci
Performances February 21st through March 8th, 2026

Rehearsals: Afternoons Saturdays and Sundays beginning January 3rd in Vallejo

Michael Moran Music Director and Eliza O’Malley Stage Director.

Roles triple cast.  Some roles will be cast with alternate genders. Performances include costumes, supertitles, and orchestra.

All performances held at The Mira Theatre Guild in Vallejo.

All roles are volunteer. Principals must be available to cover all performances as well as volunteer in front of house for one or two shows.

We appreciate and thrive with the assistance of volunteers.  We have opportunities for:  singers (soloists and chorus), instrumentalists, directors, supertitle operators, public relations, stage managers, administrative tasks, volunteer coordinators, set designers and costumers.  Contact us at verismo.opera.ca@gmail.com
